Waiting

My niece is pregnant. I mean really pregnant. Her due date is August 29. I am just in the holding pattern for the trip to her when she goes in to labor. My suitcase is almost packed (not enough clothes to pack ahead) and have told my girlfriend she has 1 hour to get to my house to leave. Of course my husband does not understand the reasoning behind my going. My Sister died 17 years ago and this is really important to me to be there for her. Now don't get me wrong. I know I can not take her place, but know that Mary would be there for my Ryann if the roles were reversed. Chuck (husband) asked me what I was going to do there. No problem, the answer was hold that baby and cook. Oh yeah. Food is a necessity. I want to make a bunch of meals to freeze so that is one thing she does not have to worry about.What's really great is she is easy to please. One of her favorites is hamburger helper. Not hard to outdo that! My girlfriend and I have made many road trips, but none as important as this. She is going to be my copolit as she can not drive on highways, over bridges or fast. I can do all of theese and she can read me the directions. We will have some tales to tell after this.Well time to look busy.
